How to set up AT&T email on iPhone

Here are the steps to set up AT&T email on iPhone:
1) Select settings
2) Then Scroll down and select Mail, Contacts, and Calendars
3) Tap Add account and select other
4) Tap Add Mail Account and enter the following info:

·         Name: your name
·         Email: your AT&T email-address
·         Password: your AT&T email password
·         Description: enter "AT&T".

5) Choose IMAP under the incoming mail server and enter the following info:
·         Hostname: imap.mai.att.net
·         Username: email
·         Password: your email password

6) Scroll down and under outgoing mail server, enter the following info:
·         Hostname: smtp.mail.att.net
·         Username: email
·         Password: your email password
7) Tap save and choose your email address on the next screen.
8) Scroll down and under outgoing mail server select SMTP.
9) Under Main server choose smtp.mail.att.net and make sure the following info is displayed:
·         SSL: SSL
·         Server port: 465
10) Tap has done and goes to the previous screen. Select Advanced and make sure the following information is correct:
·         SSL: SSL
·         Server port: imap.mai.att.net

Set up an email account
1.       Go to att.net and choose to Sign up.
2.       Enter your wireless number and ZIP Code. They'll text you a confirmation code.
3.       Enter the confirmation code and choose Continue.
4.       Then complete the info to create your new AT&T email address and password.
5.       Enter your profile info and security questions and answers.
6.       Follow the instructions to verify your account.
7.       And, Print or copy email address, password, and security questions info, in case you forget your password.
8.       Choose Continue when you see the confirmation page.
9.       On the att.net homepage, choose Mail to go to your new inbox.

Good to know: Your email address works as a user ID in Myatt so you can manage your mail account profile. You may also see user ID referred to as an AT&T user ID or a Member ID email address.
