How long does it take to port a number from att to verizon
Transferring or porting your number will take anyplace from
10 minutes to 24 hours. Porting multiple lines and porting landlines can take
up to 10 days. It all depends on the carrier you're changing from and to.
Porting your number means bringing the current working
service number to a new carrier when you switch services. Your new carrier will
do this for you!.
Don't disconnect your number you are wishing to port because
the port process will do this automatically. If you disconnect your number with
a working service before you port, it'll be extremely hard to get that number
back.
Most carriers manage the number porting as part of their
online activation process when you receive your new phone and sim card - or
they will handle it in the store itself.
There are a few things that got to happen to move your
number from one carrier to different (this is called a port), and the elapsed
time may vary depending on how fastly your current provider processes the port.
On average, ports take 7-10 days to complete; although, they
can take up to 4 weeks in rare cases.

Wireless to wireless ports usually must take up to 24 hours
but could take longer. Landline to wireless ports usually should take no more than
4 days but could take longer.

numbers to or from our service. Unlike some wireless companies, they've not
charged customers for the upfront costs of preparing for number portability.
Your new provider doesn't respond to your request right
away.
The first thing that can delay the porting process is when
your new provider doesn't respond to you in a timely manner to your request for
the transfer.
If you don't get a revert from them
within 24 hours with instructions to complete the transfer, be sure to contact
your new provider immediately and ask them to start the process.
